yes and we'd only have to do it again. they were hunted to extinction because of grazing pressure on the land, that problem is still apparent.
we'd be bringing them back only to have to shoot or trap them all to make way for agriculture. our nation is not rich enough anymore to indulge in such extravagant pets.
