New twist on car camping

I went to Debden, Essex a few days ago and discovered that i could use the roof rails on mine and my friends car i could get my hammock and basha set up with the added bonus of suspension!

so why do you still need the two poles?

The poles are to give the tarp a bit of lift/height but the main fixing and therefore strength of the ridgeline is the fixing onto the cars.
