Not foraged, since I planted two in my backyard, but nevertheless...

This is the "Wonderful" cultivar. I pruned the trees last year, just to open up the structure of the shrub and make it easier to retrieve the fruit from in among the thorns.

I love pomegranates and will eat a few, give a few to the neighbor's children (every child should get messy with a pomegranate at least once), and juice the rest. I'll try making jelly if I get enough juice.

Lovely :D You're a fortunate man.

They cost me 50p each last week.

They won't grow here, but we do get amazingly good, high VitaminC, raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, apples, plums, cherries, brambles, strawberries and rosehips.
No citrus fruits, peaches, melons or pomegranates though.

Pomegranate peelings give wonderful colours in natural dyes.

cheers,
Toddy
