Hot day and cooler now with showers. Hammock cozy. Some pics here.

About to read 'canoeing across canada' by the McGuffins.

Setup on the gravelly beach. Facing east and towards Port Bawn, and sandy bay of Inchcailloch.

Had a wee paddle before dark then turned over the canoe. Double tarps due to the heavy showers forecast. One for the hammock and one to cook under and leave kit under. Think I might change to using the bigger 3/3 decathlon tarp for the hammock or if bivvy bagging in spring/autumn. As the wind blew showers the side of the tarp was just big enough to keep it dry.

As the showers blew in, time for a read, an appropriate book. Bought on fleabag for 50p....

This is something that I think I could easily get into. It looks such a relaxing way to travel and having the ability to go where your feet won't take you opens up lots of new possibilities. Have you ever found anything interesting or unexpected on the islands you visit?

Im really gonna have to learn to sleep in a hammock, without feeling Im gonna go straight through it.

That particular island I just started dropping off to sleep when I got awakened by barking deer. Weird at first.....
