I have to admit to being a bit dumb when it comes to computers so I am hoping one of you nice folks can help me out.
I'm looking to get an MP3 player and most of the nice ones come with USB 2 cables. Well my old PC only has old USB ports so my question is will they be compatable?

yes, though they only upload to the device at the "old" speed and windows annoys you with warnings telling you this

i know money may be tight , but you can upgrade later on with a PCI USB2 card that will fit into a free slot inside the machine

unless it is a laptop then it may be a little more tricky
