I am just trying to compile a list of books on wild (edible) plants and mushrooms and also on hunting tactics
So far i have got:

1. The poachers handbook
2. Poachers and Poaching - Knowledge Never Learned in Schools
3. food for free
4. Mushroom Picker's Foolproof Field Guide: The Expert Guide to Identifying, Picking and Using Wild Mushrooms
5. Identifying and Harvesting Edible and Medicinal Plants in Wild (And Not So Wild) Places

i know there are many more but your help would be much appreciated
have you got any more ideas

Well there's "Mushrooms and other fungi of Great Britain and Europe" and "Wild food" both by Roger Philips.
"A cook on the wildside" by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall.
