    'Legal' Bushcraft Knife?

Isn't a shame, but a sign of the times I suppose, when we have to worry about the size of the blades we carry? Many years ago when I was a Scout (and before that as a Cub) I always had a sheath-knife on my belt and didn't have a problem at all, even when walking down a street. I even had a PC...

    Taylor's Eye Witness pocket knives

They're nice pocketknives but I prefer the K-Bar Stockman, although it does have simulated antler scales. Very sharp, keeps a good edge and fits nicely next to my SAK in a belt pouch.

    Life in focus

It is a reminder that we are here but for a short time only; what we do in that short time will effect those around us, for good and for bad. And because of this, the time we have here should be spent making sure that we are not wasting it; after all, we won't get another chance. My sincere...

    Snow or Hail yet?

Heavy showers yesterday, around 18:00hrs, clearing to sporadic showers over night. Today: Bitterly cold wind (so glad I bought an RCMP fur hat!) with a 10 flake snow flurry!!! Getting colder as the day goes on. Hoping for snow tomorrow so I can get out with the camera and have something...

    Tomorrow I get arrested!

I, too, send my best wishes. However, there is a word of warning. I have always been as law-abiding as I can; I have never stolen anything or caused the Police any problems and actually worked in parallel with the Police and have around 108-110 arrests to my name. To cut a long story short...

    Bcuk Badge

When I order mine I think it will go on my old DPM jacket, a left over from my time as an Instructor in the ACF.

    Downloadable books

Remembering to be careful about ordering 'how to make explosives' online.....just in case the authorities get the wrong idea; if I recall the fact you buy such material can lead you open to accusations of being a terrorist. Now, anyone know how to make a dirty bomb.....oooppps!!!

    What's in your pocket?

I know that problem so well, so I wear my sporran even when I'm inside! A home-made sgian dubh takes over from the SAK and whisky takes over from all the tins I carry!!!!

    My re handled SAK

That is a good attempt. I've been thinking of doing that to a SAK locking-knife so that it is legal to EDC. I do have 2 custom SAKs, but they were done for me by a chap in the USA; you can see mine in this section.

Bare minimum - Pocket survival kit

I have two pocket-kits, although haven't got a photo of them. One that I carry around town is in an Altiods (mints) tin and contains: Headache tabs, diacalm, matches, compass, very small SAK, cotton wool, plasters, whistle, pencil, paper, candle, 2' of paracord & a housewife. The other is...

    Knives in my collection

Nice knife. The really early ones had triangle blades and were used to stab through the joints in armour (arm-pits, groin or through the visor). As armour went out of use the blades began to flatten into a 'normal' shape and the hilts begain to change shape as well.

    Knives in my collection

Thanks Mick, just wished I had made them! Here are some of the 'Scottish Collection'. An early Victorian dirk. The blade is approx 11": A military Piper's dirk with a blade length of around 11": This is a piece I commissioned a couple of years ago. It is a bollock dagger, now...

    Knives in my collection

To save you time I've moved the pictures from the Intro section to this thread; hope you like them. This is a custom Victorinox Huntsman I commissioned last year: Another SAK I commissioned: The knife I carry every so often: A T. Turner knife. I like this one but the blade is...

    Knives in my collection

You do have a point! My dad started collecting British Army handguns and rifles from the 1700's to the present day many years ago; he then went on to collecting native weapons from India, Africa and the many islands around the world. He also makes native weapons when he has the time, for his own...

    Knives in my collection

Will - I will do them in time. I put them into storage at my parents before a house move that never happened and they just stayed there! At the moment I have 2 (they cost a fair wack!) swords, 13-14 FS's and 4 dirks (along with 2 targes, but they're not weapons just shields).
