As in @van wilds picture. You could use a poncho popped together. Econo challenge (youtube) shows this as a simple tube that can be made by a sail maker or yourself if you have the skills. I don't think sticks would work too well, never seen it done.

It's possible to waterproof the rucksack and your clothing by wrapping in a poncho. Push in front of you whilst swimming or pull with a piece of paracord (Ridge line from your shelter) I've done this and know it works

I want to make some cozys for Billy cans and pots. Not with reflective bubble mat.
How do I fix roll mat together? Sew and overlock with gaffer tape? What adhesive should I use?

1100 allows you to heat a can of beans or whatever in boiling water and use the heating water for a brew or noodles.
But, it depends on the shape of your mess kit for what you can store in it and fit into you carry system
