Thankyou bushwacker bob you hit the Nial right on the head i couldn't off explained it any better the more detail you put in the more complicated things get i had to make a special jig clamp just to put handle together .and the combination of wood and leather for the sheath was a little tricky...

AHHHHHHHHHH to late simonM i was just gonna recommend you having a look in one of those pound land shops as thay also have those tie down ratchets £1 each .and yes thay are good as i have used them to tie down 2.5tdi landrover engines o thay also have some pretty good camping gear in as well...
very nice big mark you have done a beautiful job on that one that's my sort of knife Ive done a couple off textured finished knifes im just finishing one of know scandi type knife not as good as yours thou ;)
Hi barney you've been busy i love the two bottom knifes especially the middle one that's very impressive not to stuck on the top one thou it looks a little broad for me probably because Ive only got small hands :(

Hi Dan did you buy the knife with a flat grind or a convex it should be one or the other. if your having trouble sharpening it get in touch with the maker-seller explain your problem to him he mite be more than happy to sort it out for you it could be a number of problems. good luck

Hi Duncan that's your problem your to keen to get them finished! slow down and take your time you'll be much more rewarded. once Ive cut my blank i can spend between 4 to 6 hours even more putting different grinds on my blades mostly by hand file in a jig then another 2/3 hours finishing of...
