BushcraftShow '23 - leaving your camp??

Really? That's so sad. I had no idea that people had things stolen. I was only there for two days and one night, but we left everything out. Happy to say that nothing was taken. I didn't expect it to be the sort of place for things to go missing.

    What did you buy today?

Not today, but at the weekend I finally brought one of Paul Bradley's Toolboxes that I'd fallen in love with a year ago... Hoping with lots of use the leather will age disgracefully and look even better I get a warm funny feeling whenever I look at it

    What are you preserving?

I think so as I didn't add any additional pectin... The juice is quite syrupy, so I thought it would be ok. It's set up a bit in the fridge though.

    What are you preserving?

I've made Blackberry jam and Mulberry jam.... although the Mulberry didn't work out very well. It hasn't set and I'm not sure if I actually like the taste.

Warning, when ordering from Spain, and UPS woes.

I think the original post was just to share their recent experience of purchasing from a particular company in the hope that it may help others. Probably also venting a little frustration and hopefully get some reassurance from others that all will be fine.

@Lacijag1 That's such a lovely thing to do.

Warning, when ordering from Spain, and UPS woes.

I hope it didn’t come across that I was blaming Bushcraft Spain. They’re a fantastic company. That’s why it’s such a shame about the issues @Laurentius is now experiencing. I can only speak for myself, but I didn’t think that Laurentius did either. Although maybe it’s a slightly misleading...

Warning, when ordering from Spain, and UPS woes.

That's such a shame. I have one of their oilskin tarps and I love it. Was hoping to order some other items from them in future, but will probably hold off now. Once you get your item, I hope you love it as much as I did mine. Their quality is fantastic.

    Keeping Chickens

Agree with mesquite’s comments above… build your own if you can. A lot of these pre-made runs are very small and inadequate at keeping foxes out. Also be careful of chicken wire, as it’ll keep chickens in, but isn’t predator proof.

Ideas for retired fire hose please?

Thinking along the same lines as the gorilla hammock.... could you weave with it? Wonder if a woven & riveted Coracle type vessel would float or just be a complete disaster?

I have one too. Can only agree with the comments above and highly recommend
