    I've always thought people that used trekking poles were the overly sensible type and they've never really appealed to me but maybe i'm missing out, are they a good thing to have on the WHW? Is one enough? should you really have two? whats everyone's thoughts ?

    Hi people, I'm looking for a rucksack to use for the west highland way, I dont want one with bright colours and generally prefer old materials as opposed to nylon but I'm open to suggestions.. any recommendations ? my budget is about £70 tops
