With my back being worse in recent weeks, is it possible to drop off my kit right next to the camp area? I know I'll have to park the car across the river, just wondered how close I could leave my kit before I park :)

Just to let you know, I've played about with some flint found near Romford in Essex...it lies in abundance on the ground around Havering park - getting great results! Have found the darker the flint, the better the spark :)

Brilliant, it's great that people like you can give the kids that freedom to be children and not wrapping them up in cotton wool!! It's a sad world we live in when kids aren't trusted with Swiss Army Knives anymore...well done! :-) great area!

A mokka pot for real coffee, doesn't weigh much at all and gives me a few shots of espresso :)
And, a Shewee - good for the back as it means I don't have to squat :)

Welcome to the forum! Cracking find, reminds me of the Vango Force Ten tent I used to use in the Scouts (I was the only girl lol) :)

Hehe, I've just picked up a Snugpak Bergen, so I've got plenty of room for the kitchen sink! Lol...I guess glamping has it's place when you need comfort as a priority :D

Really looking forward to the weekend away, waiting on a ME sleeping bag which should free up a bit of space in the ruck, thinking about getting either a Snugpak Rocketpak or Snugpak Bergen...can anyone provide any advice? :-)

Definitely - truly interested in the amadou, have watched a lot about it and would be very interested in learning how to use a natural resource as a firestarting tool! Thanks for offering! :-) :-)
