Whippendell Woods near Watford - council owned, plenty of space. Let me know if you're interested, I often go for a night out there, as its a half hour walk from my home.
Make it the following week and you guys can come with me - it will be well worth it to have someone who knows their way around as a guide - unless of course you are intending visiting the hotspots, in which case, just follow the crowd.
Anyone interested in a two day trip walking and wild camping in the quieter parts of Snowdonia?
Meet Wednesday night (late) or early Thursday morning, return Friday night or Saturday morning. Actual dates open to"negotiation".
I've been there quite a few times now - would appreciate some...
Aye, real shame if it doesn't take place. Chance in a lifetime trip if you ask me.
Mind you, I can understand people thinking twice about sigining up as, taking the flights into account, it's a good £1,500 that has to be found.
Not all of us are fortunate enought to have that kind of...
Is this expedition still taking place, and are there any places left, as I am interested in coming and have only just discovered it.

One of our commonest trees.
Thanks to Shewie and Highbinder especially. i'll look at both your suggestions.
I'be just packed up for a 4 day trip starting tomorrow morning. Even with the 1.5 kilo bag I have, 2 days food and 650 mil of water, I've managed to keep the wieght down to 10 kilos. I'm trying out the snugpak...
I am considering buying this sack - details here: http://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/granite_gear_virga_rucksack.html
I am attracted by its very light wieght of only 550 grams - thats a whole kilo less than the 65litre bag I use now.
And it looks like I can if necessary strap a...
Plenty of places near me - Watford - 45 Mins from Baker Street on the Met Line - 25 Mins from Euston on the main line.
PM me if you want some ideas or maybe join me for an overnighter.
I saw the broadcast. Highly recommended, see it on iplayer if you can. The last 15 minutes - the bushceafty bit - is a real treat, but the whole programme is excellent.
