I've got a sharpmaker and various waterstones and theyre all good. But what I use is the wet and dry as suggested above. I just lay a sheet on the bench and away I go. Cheap and effective.

I've got the One Tough Mutha jacket and overpants. Bullet proof. The overpants are a bit of a pain as I cant get them on over my boots - I am considering getting them modified. But its very well made, tough kit. Expensive but you are unlikely to have to replace it in the short or medium term.

I went with the snoseal and it seems to have worked fine. The nap on the leather was short so it hasnt changed the appearance really - maybe slightly darker but much.

Just picked up a pair of the Scarpa Escape GTX. The uppers are Crosta leather with the textured side on the outside. Apparently they come HS12 treated, which I gather is for water proofing. The recommendation is to treat them with Nikwax Fabric and Leather treatment. Or, for maximum water...
