    Swedish Snow Smock

Well if you could, please! It's the over the head type right? If you could see if they got it in M (without so many bloody holes) I'd be chuffed!

    Hello from the Netherlands

A bit overdue but: hello! As someone who's been lurking on and off this forum I've finally decided to get an account on here. A bit of a newbie on the whole subject of bushcrafting I'm starting to take more then a curious interest in it since my trip to Norway. In my daily life I'm busy...

    Swedish Snow Smock

Well, I got mine in as well. It has more holes then an emmentaler cheese, I don't mind a patched hole or two but with this one I lost count. So much for grade 1... Does anyone know a place to get them beside the wholesale stores or genuinearmysurplus? genuinearmysurplus has a horrible horrible...

    Ventile and punctures

I'll be trying the army gortex version. For me personally I don't really care much for the feel of synthetics. They always irritate me to no end in that department. Thanks for the good tips though :)

    Ventile and punctures

Just wondering, how do you guys care for the Ventile? Mine has a label: handwash only. Though I have to admit, I'd rather chuck it in a gentle cycle in the washer..

New Trousers.... how have yours been?..

I bought a pair of Fjallraven and double ventile ones (Hilltrek http://hilltrek.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Cabrach_Ventile_Trousers.html). Of the two I have to say that the Fjallraven had a bit of a tighter fit which I prefer to the Hilltreks (which really are quite baggy). The overall comfort goes...

    Ventile and punctures

@Richard: I hit reply to quickly: what let me down very very much this year was my plastic regatta bin-liner. I'll be the first to admit that that might not be the best standard to judge synthetics by though ;)

    Ventile and punctures

Oh I'm not expecting miracles and it might not be as suited for climbing / long exposed walks but I'm not going to use it for those. I'm more of a bushcraft person with the incidental scramble on a hill. I have noticed that no matter what I wear, after a good 6 hours of exposed downpour I *will*...

    Ventile and punctures

Thank you everybody! @Nonsuch: wouldn't a patch over a rip be better then under it (talking double ventile jacket here)? (I'm horrible at fixing clothes, but I figure it's time I start to learn!) I must say, I bought the Ventile mostly on reviews of others. And of course a bit of a...

    Ventile and punctures

Hi there, I've been lurking around these forums for some time, so I guess a "hi to all" is in order ;) I'm coming out of the woods (bad pun intended) to ask a question about Ventile that I haven't really seen mentioned in the threads here. Recently I've fallen in love with the stuff...
