    Snugpack Jungle hammock

    My Hennessey hammock comes with what is described as 30D polyester no see um netting, and nothing has got through it in a few years of use. Not sure how 30D and 20D differ.

    ray vs bear

    in jungle, Bear. No question. I have worked with the bloke who looked after him in the Panama jungle episodes and he said his skills were good, just obviously puts on more of a 'show' for the TV.

    One good thing about the jungle here in Panama - lots of creepy crawlies etc but there are very, very few annoying ones like leeches or mossies.

    It was a pit-viper - a Fer de Lance It was here in Panama, they are quite common. Not a Bushmaster, different species, equally feared. We made a detour around it!
