And why hasn't this become a success?

Yes it's ugly, but it seems like a good tool... or at least the concept is viable...
that should have worked right?

Has anyone tried it?
Is it overpriced ? Cheap plastic rubbish or sturdy?
Is it good or is it just a bit gimmicky?

I guess if it had a orange BG logo on it, or if pathfinders would sponsor it,
or if woodlore would sell it for twice as much as what Zippo charge...

They would sell like hotcakes...

I prefer the wooden tools but it's a good idea right?

The only review I have read said the bow saw cut really well and the bit chopped well, but the handle snapped right off...not very encouraging.

Ive got one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buck-saw-...235787?hash=item2a6a5efa4b:g:838AAOSw-4BXYqnZ
, much smaller

i made a hacksaw attachment for it as well, used it in B&Q carpark when some plastic pipe was too long for the car yesterday

the zippo one seems a good idea but as it tapers that would reduce width of wood it could cut,
seems very expensive
