    Not if you tell them you are a time travelling viking who was waiting for the right time to travel to the future in your viking long boat fitted with hand carved flux capacitor, reclaim, and then sell your hoard for the largest profit!



    So that you could buy lots of mead!:D

    Yep.. That's the old "Treasure Trove" law.

    If it's lost the finder keeps it. If it was deliberately stashed away it belongs to the crown.

    Maybe it's got something to do with back taxes, you know what the Inland Revenue are like...;)
