While browsing the web for some ideas for coming winter I stumbled upon the channel of a great guy who shows some real useful skills for in the Northern Wild. The channel is entirely Russian but his display of skill needs no translation imo. As a taster I'll post his way of setting up a lean-to with the use of moss ( big slabs in one piece, when there is not much tatching material around)

Good shelter but seems really tall and not enough weather protection to me. Lot of wood cutting effort, but if it is somewhere you can revisit it could be worth doing.
Particularly liked the deconstruction at the end. Leave not much trace. ☺
