I called them one year ago and told them why they don't get orders from UK.

I will call them again, perhaps it will help.

I think it's better to evaluate a pile of used and nearly discarded coverings.
Iterate the materials to suit your needs.
John's design with the furs ought to be an inspiration to us all.
Clearly, weight becomes an issue sometimes but I'd rather sacrifice something else
than to be cold and uncomfortable in a cold tent in the rain.

The classic Hudson's Bay Company wool blankets sold in Canada are woven in Sheffield UK mills.
For the USA and else where, HBC sold a license to Pendleton of Oregon to mill the blankets.

Not by choice, but back in the army, February 2006, I was only 19 for my national service, they sent us to a location. I had no sleeping bag, no woollen thermals, just my army (probably cotton) uniform and cotton military thermals, a foam pad and a military wool blanket. I had no idea what to expect but there was frost and the trench we dug around the tent was full of water and formed a thick ice surface.
We camped in pairs, each one of us had half a tent to carry and button it up with an other to form a small tent that sleep two inside.
I had no idea back then on how to wrap my self in it like a burrito so I just slept on the foam pad and covered with the blanket on top as if I was on my bed. Slept in my clothes and boots as I had to wake up around 2:00-3:00am for a patrol guard shift. I woke up and found my feet outside that tiny tent, on the frozen trench. I cracked the ice with the back of my foot and felt so weak and cold. Did my shift and all we had to do for the period we were there and got back to the base.
Ended up with a minor pneumonia the doctor told me and spend a few days at the clinic after that.
That was my first experience sleeping with a wool blanket, quite embarrassing but I would still like to try it a bit more organised next time.

what is the most comfortable set up to sleep in wool blankets with? I'd like to try it but want to sleep well enough. is it one underneath and one on top? what about the damp ground coming up through?

Thanks
Best way to sleep with wool blankets..... On the sofa in front of the fire, with a decent malt and the dog.

That's how I use mine.
