We've been cider making this week, & it brought back pleasant memories of Stovie of this parish & my Devon youth! Given it involves booze, fruit picking, ash baskets, shiny kit, large knives & home made stuff, I suspect there are still some cider fans on the forum
Can I come visit your gaff Mr Red mate, I’ve always told everyone what an outstandingly good bloke you are ;-D
OMG! I've still got the caramelised onion chutney to make first. But we did get offered apples the other day......
Gosh I'm flagging and running out of jars!. Today has been full on with various things and I've just arrived home with the intention of making fruit leather and apple chutney, I'm so tired I think it can wait until tomorrow. It's hard work on your own with no slaves to help .
Can' beat home make cider. Grew up in Herefordshire and i've always put having a hairy chest down to some of the home brews i grew up with, lol! Even the rougher stuff tastes good after the 2nd or 3rd glass !
