i've no idea what this is (we don't have tv) but it does sound interesting, did anyone watch it?

It's been on before, I've seen it a couple of times. The first episode is quite good, but pretty much from then on in becomes the Seven Ages of England... They seem to forget that the Romans never made it up here much, and there was nearly another thousand years of more-or-less Iron Age culture going on...

Worth a watch for a sweeping overview though.
