my new axe well new to me

my dad salavaged it from his works sheds just laying there.he said one upon a time it was used in making the slouse gates on rivers. going to give it a clean up. it is still sharp after about 30 years of no use.

yeah me too. but was just giving the use of what it was used for as i thought it was interisting

To me it more looks like a garden tool for working dirt or soil but it probably work on wood too!

Its an adze, well either that or its a pink elephant, or maybe the poshest grubbing mattock I've ever seen.
