Pah! Continentals catching up with the Brits. European Mosquitos can now carry Lyme Disease can they?..well British Mosquitos were carrying four thousand pound bombs and that was back in the 1940'S...[IMG]

I know Lyme Disease is no laughing matter but hey! Look on the bright side...;)

That is in Germany. I got Lymes in northern Czech Republic about 15 years ago. Doctor diagnosed it so I got treated and cured.
Also, Lyme's has been in Sweden for decades.

    Presumably via ticks?

I picked up Lymes in Transylvania at about the same time, I was treated quickly and suffered no further problems, since then I check myself daily when out and about and get the blighters of me asap, if a mosquito bite now carries the risk of infection then thats going to make life much harder.
