How not to cook a Russian Sharlotka or Russian apple cake

Lessons learned,

Do not try to cook this pudding in a dutch oven lined with greaseproof paper directly on the grill of the fire. The inside was fine but the outside cremated beyond saving with the paper stuck and burnt onto and into the pudding. It needed to be hung from a tripod i think. Tasted ok though.

Well, it would have been delicious were it not for two things. And if you look carefully you can see a finger (MuddyBoots) that is all knowing...

1) Unless you want your cake to taste just like grease proof paper, don't cook with it on an open fire in a dutch oven.....

2) Unless you want your cake to taste just like grease proof paper and be surrounded in volcanic magma when removed, don't cook with it on an open fire tended to by Tank and his wood fetish.
