Stanley makes good products and that one's no exception. That said, the lunch box is nothing new; rather a nostalgic nod to the time before plastics.
Advice for food flask, anything new out there?

Stanley products are bash-worthy. What a rare concept.
I've got a wide-mouth which I would replace in a minute.
The Sudbury miner is riveted hard aluminum sheet which goes back only to 1956!
Lots of people seem to like the hard angular form, too.
I forget what they cost, not extravagant. The weakest of possible excuses and I'll buy one.
They are designed to hold the small-neck Aladdin bottle ( have one) in the top section plus about 1/16"
The wide mouth Stanley might have to go in the bottom.
Somehow, I know that the traditional coal miner's lunch pail is exactly that = a round pail with a lid & handle.
I can buy those here, too. Right beside the Sudbury. Must look for the Stanley.
There's one very old hardware store (Barkerville Gold Rush vintage) downtown that carries all those things.

RV, yeah, the original "lunch pails" were indeed pails (Daddy and my older uncles described generally the size and shape of a one gallon paint can) They were used by pretty much everybody who carried lunch to work (miners, factory workers, construction workers, even farmers) from the late 19th century until the spread of commercial lunch boxes in the 1920s. The modern Aladdin one Jared linked is steel and the same design (by whatever makers) that replaced the original pails from the early 1920s until plastics replaced it in the 1960s. Each half (top and bottom) is pressed from a single sheet of steel and spot welded at the end seams. I looked up the Sudbury one you referenced and it looks sturdy enough as well. Mind, neither of them is insulated.

Thinking outside the box, can get glass lined dewars, and replacement glass for them if they break. Problem is prices for like 1L are still wrong side of £100.
