    Forget Carving Spoon

A dolly peg is a wooden clothes peg with a split up the middle running around 3/4 the way up. The other device is called a "Posser" and was used for "Possing" an action similar to Plunging but with a rotating movement as you agetate up and down.

Invite: 2017 Yukon Bushcraft Camp/Course & Canoe Trip (June 2017)

The only thing I can find after a very quick search is from Air Canada (I flew with WestJet), it could disqualify Fire Steels if taken literally.... The other thing that I find surprising is that MRE's are specifically prohibited. :Lighters: Only one of the following items, intended for...

Yes, flight security... Not Customs, sorry. I haven't verified they are correct yet but they told me it was illegal to fly with them anywhere in a plane in Canada. They brought me into a room with my bag already in a scanner so I'm guessing they either scan all luggage or I got unlucky and...

    5.11 kilt

Quite possibly the most hilarious piece of kit available

Oh and Canadian customs are pretty strict. I got my entire suitcase turned out in a little room for two ferro rods.

Well im back, very tired as I had some car issues driving back from Gatwick and real life has started straight away.... No rest for the wicked and all that. I will get some pictures and words up in the coming days. Over all I had a really good time, Fabian is a brilliant bloke and his...

Coast of Greenland Ice fields First food after landing Im not going to dwell to much on Vancouver as I dont want to offend anyone. As a city it's just not for me. It's really made me want to get on this next plane and put it behind me. Very excited for Yukon

Advice request for cordless tools for around the place.

Buy cheap... Buy twice, I agree. But for infrequent light DIY use the Aldi and Lidl 3 year guarantee is pretty decent.

Mobile Phone Photography - Flowing Water / Light Rays

For the rays... I would suggest that contrast it the key. It would be best to shoot RAW, i dont know if your phone does but both of my LG's do. Try HDR too. Good luck

Yes its very close! I have unfortunately got to work until 10pm the night before I travel.. So my first couple days I think is going to be exhausting, especially spending 20hrs in Vancouver airport. Lol Im excited though, see you soon!

Advice request for cordless tools for around the place.

I would normally agree.... But the Milwaukie's put out a claimed 85nm and I believe it. My Hitachi claims upto 70nm and there is simply no way, my grandads Makita's are mostly around 45-50nm and feel similar to my Hitachi.

Milwaukie 18v Fuel are a cut above IMO. We could have gone with any drill on the market at work. We went with the Milwaukie's... In the region of 90 units and 3 years in we havent had a single fault and are on the original batteries. They go through cast Iron like it's nothing and other...

One layer leather boots (no membrane)

Loads of shoe brands... Mostly at the upper mid to ultra high end, quite a few of these make dress boots too and a couple may make more hard wearing offering. But I believe that Altberg and William Lennon are the last two out and out boot makers left here.

One layer leather boots (no membrane)

Oh yeah, they are a lifetime boot. I really want the Hobnails... But dont actually need them. They still arent cheap boots, but are properly hand made in england using heritage techniques and heritage equipment... To the best of my knowledge. And are often actually cheaper than the more...

One layer leather boots (no membrane)

Check out the William Lennon and Co. Rufflander series of boots based out of Derby. Perhaps Dr Martens or Solovair have acceptable boots too?
