Grylls, a risk taker, a liar, and a complete and utter loon! I think of him as the Bam Margera or Steve O of the survival world
Mears, good advice, sometimes a little boring, knows his stuff, gains respect from people, I like the Chap.
White spirit is gonna stink, and take an age to dry, silicone will make whatever you spray slippier than an Eel! ( i should know my Basha is silicone sprayed!)
Fabsil, is best, but im a tightwad so go the silicone route myself, its cheap and water just doesnt stay on
Never a truer word spoken John........Physio after a broken pelvis and broken T7 & T8 used to leave me in tears.....the ONLY good thing was she was a lovely little brunette, but still an absolute Sadist of the highest caliber!
If you are going to a Bass Pro shop, remember to leave about half a day clear....as u will need it to look around.....there is SO MUCH good stuff! makes u realise what a crappy deal we get over here when you see the toys the yanks get to play with! but then again they have a tad more 'outdoors'...
Yes i remember well 'Old Country' and 'out of town' with jack...........you can still see them on Y*utube! FANTASTIC old fella, would have loved to have known him personally and chatted to him......
My 'bushcraft' skills started when I was Homeless for 6 months...its surprising how fast you learn to light a small fire and make a hobo stove from a can and stealth camp when you are cold and hungry!!
PS Have you tried Brockwell woods? its great for someone wanting to discover a place to go, you can have fires, sling a hammock, tarp or tent....and very very private!
The location is Blaydon on Tyne not far from Newcastle, you can contact Steph or Ike on 07770 80915 TEXT ONLY or 0191 414 2025...
Yes Harvestman, I have had an attack of Gallstones like yourself, and the pain was unbelievable, as you said. the nurse who had also had gallstones said she was in more pain than in childbirth.
Speedy recovery mate!
I think rat packs are good as long as air didnt get to em, a few years ago i was given a 'catering size' tin of sausages from WW2 and they were in a tin packed solid with lard......bl**dy delicious!
