    Hair cleaning on the trail.

    I use waterless shampoo (nilaqua, if you want to google it) which actually cleans your hair and doesn't leave that horrible residue behind that dry shampoos do! The company even do pet shampoo, which is great for the pooch when he refuses to have a bath! :)

    Insect repellent that doesn't eat plastic.

    I tend to use repellent which doesn't contain DEET, as I have pretty sensitive skin. Quite a few of the natural repellents I've come across lately contain Citriodiol, and this seems to keep the insects away.
