A question for the pipe smokers amongst us!

I won't get started on the double edge shaving then, I have stuck with my Merkur HD. I did go through a phase of straight razor shaving and should dig those out of the drawer when there's more time to play with them. The Merkur is just that bit more convenient. Thanks for all the suggestions...

A question for the pipe smokers amongst us!

A quick question to you pipe smokers, where does one start? What would be a reasonable budget pipe and tobacco if you just want to try pipe smoking? I gave up cigarettes over 30 years ago but the idea of sitting in the woods with a pipe has an appeal, I've just never smoked one or tried one. Thanks.

Altberg Mallerstang Boots 10 1/2 Narrow

Nearly new Altberg Mallerstang walking boots. Great 3-4 season (accepts flexi crampons) leather walking boots. Only been used half a dozen times, as you can see from the soles, and there's just a few light scuffs on them. Sadly, I just can't get on with the shape of them so they have to go. Size...

    Fabulous 2-person sleeping system.

For sale are a Big Agnes King Solomon double down sleeping bag and 2 Exped Downmat 9 mats. These were bought to try and get my wife to come backpacking. She loved the idea and found this system comfy but has decided that backpacking just isn't for her. It's been used exactly twice so is...

    Corrective Eye Surgery

I had corrective surgery over 15 years ago now. Had wavefront lasik in one eye and prk in the other, due to various things such as corneal thickness and strong prescription. I was living in the US at the time and found that local to me was one of the top corneal surgeons in the states. I don't...

Lovely job on that chest, I always keep an eye out for something similar but only ever seem to see them at silly prices.

    Tent not so waterproof.....

I've just redone the seams on my 20 year old Wild Country Quasar as the seam tape was coming off. Took 3 tubes of Seam Grip to get it done. I'll find out this weekend if it's worked. Because the seams are not stitched flat, I had to effectively do each seam 3 times to get all the stitching of...

    My new rifle: CZ455

It loosened up nicely over a couple of hundred rounds. I've not done anything really to it, other than lighten the trigger up a little.

    Bushcrafting With An Inflatable Canoe

Reminds me to dig the inflatable kayak out of the barn where it's sat for a few years. Have some areas round here I could explore with that.
