Hi there, yep just off the phone to the bank. They've sorted it.
Have to say I'm pretty disappointed..
Thanks for the help guys. Now, any recommendations for decent hammock company to throw my money at? :)
Yeah I have heard mixed reports. My friend has some of their stuff and didn't have any issues so I thought I'd give them a shot.
Best way to get money back? Contact bank? Don't think I've ever been in this situation before.
Hey all,
I hope this is okay to post here but I'm not sure what to do. Placed an order in January with an estimated turnaround of 4 weeks, sent an email week 6, got one back week 7 saying delay due to materials and would be further two weeks, now week 10 and tried to send them another email...
Such a pity, as my mate has one of their cat cut door tarps and it's brilliant.
If no one has used them recently I guess I better start saving for a Warbonnet Blackbird from the states :-/
Hey guys,
Wasn't 100% sure this was the right sub-forum for this but I wanted some reassurances before I placed an order.
Everything on their site is showing out of stock.
They aren't replying to my emails.
Their contact number on their website puts you through to a 'prosthetics' company...
I've used them, they were very good, took photos of the other side of the knife for me (had figured wood scales), well packaged, quickly delivered, insured, but boy oh boy what an import/duties fee!
The store had a poor selection of clothing but what seemed to be the full range of their bags ... As I recall they didn't even have a Mackinshaw coat in their stock!
And there are some people that are contrarians and like bragging about how cheap their knives are, too. Other people just get on with what they have. It's not just knives. It's human nature.
It's too late. I buy my Rhodia pads from there and usually throw in a bottle of ink or two. Somehow I'm up to 10 bottles of ink. It's like knife-GAS but with stationary!
You can always throw away or burn the paper. That's how I keep my journal, it all goes in without order and pages come out as necessary.
I like all writing instruments but especially fountain pens, even the cheap £1 jinhao from ebay are decent these days! The disposable nature of bics and even...
Mate you replied to say you didn't feel the need to justify your opinion.
Your other comment, well, you're basically saying you judge people on their appearance. Whether someone has a 'zombie slayer' (weather they slay zombies or not) or 'taliban slayer' (whether they slay taliban or not)...
Posting on a forum usually suggests you're open to discussion. All I can say is I'm glad you're not a police man, because it sounds like you'd be booking people based off their appearance rather than on the law.
Personally I think it's over priced tat and wouldn't carry it, but this thread is...
In your opinion. In mine it is just a black friction folder, it doesn't look particularly tactical or even aggressive, so I'm not really sure what judgement you're making or what that knife seemingly portrays about the owner.
As hughtrimble says, it falls within the legal parameters (nonlocking...
Not sure where that's coming from. Janne's opinion of Supertramp is widely held, including by myself. The character appeals to young adults who see the romance and adventure and disregard the mental illness, his wrecklessness and lack of fore planning. He is not, in my opinion, a good role model.
I can't believe no one has recommended Zebralight yet.
I use their H602 headtorch which is 1x18650. Sublumen to just over a 1000 lumen output, a visual check of battery level (unlike most other torches), and the ability to use it both as a torch and a headtorch. Yes it's a little expensive, but...
Wow great responses, thanks guys! That link to the frame saw article was a great read. The large tooth rip saws are beauties. I may know a luthier who has one but I'll have to ask - he does love his old tools tho' so wouldn't surprise me.
Alaskan mill / chainsaw is off the table, this is just...
Hello,
I've started to become more interested in green woodworking and I'm curious to know the best way to make planks/boards in the field?
I have had some success making small planks using hard wood batons and a froe, but there's a fallen Scots pine I have my eye on and I'd love to lift a...
Yes this is my view of the fad too. Perhaps also that there is a perception that they do better in the snow, which I could well see as a factor up here in Scotland.
I quite like a high driving position myself, but then that's why I bought a van :)
But hardly a fair comparison. Fjallraven are a large, long established company that outsource production to China.
Personally I see nothing wrong with the prices Trakke charge. The fact that the company has been going 7 years is proof enough that there is market demand. British manufacture and...
