Problem with most Traffic Wardens in London is that they can't even issue tickets correctly never mind uphold the law. Many of them aren't even British and only have a passing knowledge of our laws and culture. Camden's traffic warden offices got bust for employing illegal immigrants and it is...
Personally I've enjoyed quite a few of the newer ones even more than the old ones. IMHO "Unforgiven" is the greatest Western I've seen. Other ones of note were Dances with Wolves, Lonesome Dove and Tombstone.
We've had a few of these threads before. I guess it doesn't hurt to have more with all the new apps coming out.

Good to here from you again. I always enjoyed reading your posts.
Glad you are doing what you enjoy. I like your paintings. I used to do a lot of painting too but don't find the time these days, maybe I should get back to it. My subject matter was rather different though. :naughty:
The people who lost their jobs at NOTW were complicit in the whole thing even if they didn't personally hack phones. They knew what type of paper it was when they took the job and to work at a top newspaper like that you have to really WANT the job, they don't just take anybody who wanders in...
My son took a knife proficiency test with his Scout leader and after that he was allowed to use whatever knife I lent him.
In this modern day and age his troop are low key about knife usage but the rules seem to be that at camps it's fine to have a sensible folder or fixed blade.
One time we...
I buy mine in the "reduced to clear" section of T K Maxx. Down from idiotically high prices to just about my budget.
The missus knitted me a pair but they don't fit as good as these modern socks with Lycra. I use them as slippers.
It's a good watch but the Argos price seems a bit high, try shopping around. Some eBay sellers are worth checking out, look at the feedback and see if there are recommendations on the http://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/ forum before buying. Many sellers are trading the real thing.
I have an...
I used to have one of those too. :) It was a turbo diesel fully kitted out with removable seats and still had some of the police customization installed. It was a great multi-purpose vehicle. I'd take out the seats to use for work and use it for ferrying people around and we'd go camping with...
I live urban these days and our family couldn't afford to run two cars any longer. Even just sitting in the car park going nowhere they cost money in tax, insurance and MOTs. The cost of fuel and repairs is huge and I came to the conclusion that I can't afford them any more so they are gone -...
Looks good. Only problem I have is that I hate having heavy stuff in my cargo pockets and I'm not sure it would work to have it in regular trouser pockets. I like it though. :p
I agree with the above posts. The simple Garmin units can be found second hand quite cheap and sometimes Aldi and Lidl do a special on them. Also upgrading your mobile to a GPS, if possible, could be an inexpensive route to take. Either way there is a slight learning curve if you aren't...
I agree that it is a good book. There is a smaller field guide that I bought which is excellent. I was looking for it just now but methinks the missus has "tidied" it up somewhere - maybe it's a Collins book. Its called something like Grasses and Sedges of Europe (or something like that). Nice...
I'm no fan of snails and preparing them is a lot of trouble in my opinion. I guess they are okay baked with garlic, butter and parsley. If the chips were down and I desperately needed the protein then I'd got to the trouble of preparing them. I don't care much for shellfish either. I'm not...
£15? Last time I bought a wok in Wing Yip they were £4. Prices have gone up. Mind you the 75cl bottle of soya sauce has gone up from 65p to about £1.20 in the last year or so.
Those woks are great though, they really last.
