Ive done a little leather work and my experience is that you cant really make it water proof unless you bake it (think formed leather used for making water bottles) I understand what you are trying to do but keeping the leather flexable and totally water proof at the same time is near...

Hi all, In the introduction to Cache Lake by John J Rowland (a must read if you havent discovered it yet) Verlyn Klinkenborg mentions that "Cache Lake is one of two books (Spindrift is the other) written by John J Rowlands" Ive searched on the net but cant find any mention of 'Spindrift'...

I posted the same question a about year ago. Got loads of funny replies. One guy suggested using a personal attack alarm, shuv it down a hole making sure all but a couple of netted holes are blocked off and.........well Ive never tried it but it might work! good luck

Yep, I got bought one of Ron Hoods DVD's when I first started out and at first I thought it was a spoof! I wouldnt waste your money or time on him mate. Look else where or better still, buy a book get into them woods.

Had the same problem a couple of weeks back in New Forest. One of the little blitters caused an infection in my dog resulting in £77.00 worth of vets fees! Frontline and spray is the only way to keep them at bay.

Ive also seen alot of similar sign recently. Unsurprisingly, the nature of these droppings coinsides with a large increase dung beetles / and other beetles in general. I reckon its hungry Badgers making the most of this summer harvest, a perfect woodland food. Ive seen alot of Owl pellets...
