    Need some modern kit advice

Sleeping bags I can thoroughly recommend the alpkit bags http://www.alpkit.com. Never been cold in my SkyHigh 800. Don't want to get em wet though. For hammocks you can look to TenthWonder Hammocks on Ebay for a reasonable hammock thats slightly lighter on the wallet. I had one of their...

Recommend me a tough waterproof compact camera

I've had an olympus which was great for the three years or so until it broke the other week in the jungle. The lens cover broke so that it doesn't open when you turn the camera on anymore...

Field Waterstone and Strop Sharpening Kit (By Shep)

SOLD. Bought it a while ago when Shep was selling them in the Makers Market area. Never really got round to using it apart from a couple of strokes on the 1200 grit side to test when it first came through. I'm a bit short on cash now till I start my new job so thought I might as well sell...

    Mahogany and O1.

Well I thought this would be a bargain... Obviously not though, so I've knocked another £5 off. But if it still doesn't sell im keeping it. Also note: Its had an extra coat of oil since the pics were taken.

    Mahogany and O1.

Just a quick note, I can make a sheath for it if requested for a small fee, however I would suggest that the money would be better spent on commissioning a sheath from one of the communities better leather workers.

    Mahogany and O1.

For Sale! Its 3mm O1 steel with mahogany scales and black fibre spacers finished with boiled linseed oil. 6mm brass pins and 8mm lanyard. Scandi grind. Any other questions, just ask. As I think this one could be better with the finish in the odd place, I'll leave properly sharpening...

    JLT Bushcraft knife

Yes that should help! Does your camera have a macro/close up mode at all? Its sometimes worth playing around with that to see if you can get better focus. The good thing with digital cameras though is that you can take tons of pics, and then only have to choose the best. I would think though...

    JLT Bushcraft knife

Yeah these last few have been some cracking knives! Certainly come a long way since that one meetthegeeks reviewed on BB a while back. Might be worth looking into working on your photography of them though so that you can get some pics that really give these blades justice! Alec

    What grade grit paper ?

I have some micromesh cloths ranging from 1500 grit up to 12,000 grit, although I don't use them for sharpening just polishing. I have wet and dry papers up to 2400 grit that I use for sharpening and that sorts me out fine to get a shaving edge.

    Tarp for trade

I'd be interested in the tarp also if its still there, although i'm not sure if I've got what your asking for. Depending on how simple a pan you mean, I do have a set of the ally pans from a trangia copy, along with the accompanying handle. I also have some leather, some blocks of spalted beech...

    Where to get wood from?

Some woods can be got off ebay, often the best stuff is cut up in to darn penblanks though. Yandles - http://www.yandles.co.uk/ does quite a selection of turning blanks which can be used, they often are missing pictures from the website though. Theres a lady called Jean on British blades who...
