Hello ,
Not this year but last , I was at the wilderness gathering in 2012 and on one of the stalls that was selling kuksa's the guy had this tool . It was a long bar with a loop for a handle and a spoon like piece on the bottom . He stood a piece of wood on the ground and twisted this thing...
I seem to remember a while back a few people customising the Mod survival knifes .
I have searched the forum but can't find anything about it on here or British blades .
What sort of mods have people done and what worked ?
I have heard of some being reground into a Bowie style , but does this...
No it was far earlier than that , it would have been late 80s when I saw it and it was ancient then . The school has moved and been renamed since then so I doubt the library would have a record of it . Will try that angel books and speed if they can help .
Cheers

Yes that's the barbed wire warren snake , and yes it is a bit brutal .
Got the poachers handbook and poachers & poaching by John Watson and its nether of them . I wish I had had the foresight to have forgotten to return it to the library , even if that is a little dishonest . It was full of...
Firstly , I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not
I have been trying to source a book for what seems an age .
Back when I was at school (late 80's) we had a book in the school library that was old and tattered then . It was a red book as they used to be before jackets were...
I think this is quite a worry for all of us . I used to think it was better to have a knife hanging off your belt , well in view if you we're carrying it with good reason . The problem with incidents like this is that it pushes innocent people to conceal their knives within their pack . Which is...
Good advice , although you forgot one important bit with reference to the head torch .
whilst it may be a good thing to use , be considerate of not shining it in other people's eyes or you may get a finger poked in yours lol . When around groups of people hang it round your neck !

Ah cheers for that . Will give them a shout . Tried a company in the uk before and got told they didn't do those mods . Watched the video on uk hammocks though and as long as they can do it with the bag at the other end then all is good

Is there anyone in the UK that does hammock modifications with a good reputation ?
Got a Hennessy that I want modded . There is a company in America that do good mods but its about £60 in postage and I use it too much to be without it for as long as the postage takes .
cheers

Hi ,
Does anyone have a picture of how the very top pieces overlap and the modified pole situation they could post please ?

I have heard that in the time I have been away BCUK did a couple of group buys on hammock insulation . Namely and overquilt and an all in one pod thing .
Was wondering what the pod was like and weather anybody had any photos . What do users think of it ? What kind of money did they go for ? Are...
