Just took delivery of mine yesterday, will get back to you once I've had a chance to play with it.

Got one earlier in the year (with a free Scout hammock )

used it at the cornwall RV which was a bit nippy

definatly makes a differance in therms but mostly in ease of use as you dont have a mat in the hammock with you which is a pain to stay on and not as comfy
the supplied mat is oks but not if its cold. and it will collect water / condensation

Jump over to hammockforums, there's a ton of reviews, from what I gather it needs to be used with a spaceblanket to get below 50 F comfortably.
