I've got €100 since Christmas. I was planning on buying a BRKT knife with it, but now I'm having second thoughts about it. I don't want to buy a hammock or tarp, because I mainly camp with a tent or make my one shelter.

This is what I allready got:

BRKT Snowy river
Helle Harding
Several SAK's and leathermans
stove of campinggaz
firesteel
An axe of an unknown manufacturer
A jacket from tenson
a new pair of Fjällräven trousers
good gloves,
good sleeping bag from carinthia
tent
mess kit
Very nice boots made by Lowa

I was thinking about:

A PSK
Air rifle
another knife :)
flint and steel
pocket saw
trangia stove

Any advice would be nice.

Thanks,

Michiel

Hmmm,

I'd argue you have enough knives (if there is such a thing) ;)

How about

A folding saw (Laplander)?
A really good axe (GB / Wetterlings / Cegga / Roselli etc.)
Hammock?
Tarp?
Bivi Bag?
Decent Stove System Trangia / Optimus / MSR etc.?
Books? Nessmuk or Kochanski or Kephart?
A nice leather possibles pouch?

Just some random thoughts

Yeah I agree with Red, you seem to have enough knives, to put John Locke to shame.

Have you got a decent backpack? If not you could get one, i'd recommend one of the Karrimor SF Sabre packs. You should be able to get a Sabre 45 if you chip in a few more Euros. I just got one and am loving it.

Try a knife with a different configuration to what you have already got.

For example a BRK&T Tusk, or something similar.Doesn't have to be new,nip over to BB and watch the members classifieds. ;)

Or a Kelly kettle. :)

Lucky person to have the money to spend in the first place. I think I would go with the Trangia and the folding Laplander saw. :)

I don't skimp on my coat boots or pack, if any of these let you down your in for an unpleasant trip at best and major problems are just round the corner

you could get a headlamp or some other torch for finding things or you could always spend the money on a trip rather then on gear

I noticed you have a camping gaz stove although they are reasonably good, one of these swedish army mess kit is far better especially in colder conditions.

I only used this website as an example of what one looks like;

Swedish army mess kit

Honestly, the mess kit is at least as good as a gaz stove in cold. If you plan to use a stove in cold weather, use a multifuel stove. The only pro the swedish mess kit has is its possibility to be hung over a fire.

Buy a really good underwear set. Or a good back pack.

I've allready got a pack and I like it. I was thinking about a few waterstones, but today I tried the scary sharp system :) That convinced me I don't need any more stones.
I've planned a trip when my exams are over. God I miss the woods!

Any other things I would want to take a look at?

Michiel,
Good luck with the Exams and just keep thinking of the woods as your reward! :)

The sensible thing here is to look at what you haven't got as most of us and myself included have made suggestions on replacing some items of your kit.

I can't make recommendations on what air rifle to buy because I don't know.

But a folding saw, how about one of these, a Laplander.

I'm going to buy the kershaw saw. It's the same as the laplander as I understand and i can get it half price!

I was tinking about a good locking folder or a trapper or stockman pattern slipjoint.
