I have been through loads of instruments, but basses and 6 string guits have always been there. Don't really like them as much as other instruments ... I picked up a Guilele a few years ago, a tiny A key six string. I kind of like that as you can make it do a lot more than you'd imagine. In the late 80s there was a guy in a shop near me selling little guitars made of armadillos. They sounded lovely. Never bought one though.
