Mainly thinking of the members of the Steam Tent Cooperative, who seem to enjoy a bit of polished copper and brass!
But it can be useful for others too.
As written before, I am in the process of restoring ( and blinging up) a couple of old military and surveyors tripods, plus some WW2 era military optical devices.

Having surface finished and polished all metals ( Aluminium, Brass, Bronze) to a high sheen, I saw that all dulled quickly, specially the Brass and Bronze.
So I tried to find a way to preserve the shine.
All ( wax, automotive polish/wax, clear coat) either failed or were not adhering enough.
Or sticky.
But, I found a product from an US company called Everbrite Coatings.
I bought the product called Protectaclear
No problem with shipping by air, quick and efficient service.
The first shipment they made a mistake and send me the Satin, but a phone call and they dispatched the correct Clear ( high gloss) the same day.
Fairly easy to use, excellent result.
To test it, I polished a piece of Brass tube, treated one half, left the other half untreated.
Left it on the dock for a week, in the sun and salt water spray.
Treated area no change. Untreated very dull and deeply oxidized.

I can highly recommend the product.

I have no economic interest or other affiliation to that company.
