This extension will "force" secure pages on almost every website you go to.
Green padlock on the address bar as standard.
Not only good to encrypt communications on public networks but also to protect log-ins and general privacy practices.
It will also check the encryption certificates are valid and trustworthy.
Whilst you're at it "privacy Badger" from the EFF is also excellent to block all the pesky ads and unwanted marketing trackers .
