Hi Peeps! Alison had a rare day off, so with it being the hottest day of the year so far, we made a picnic and shot off for the day to one of my favourite places, somewhere i camped as a kid, it is a very special place and we had it totally to ourselves.

Pics as usual are self explanatory, the shelter was made out of deadfall and sphagnum moss, which is in abundance on the moor, it is brilliant stuff, with a variety of uses, like shelter building, dressing and most importantly wiping your bum! Amongst other things.

I look forward to possibly being told, it will not be waterproof, or someone may huff and puff and blow the thing down, but who cares? certainly not me! Oh yeah i am not 9 i am 50!

Anyway, a brilliant day, as things have not been so good lately, enough whingeing, made i feel a lot better.

Hope you enjoy the pics, if not just pass em on by, or be critical!

Regards.

Ivan and Alison, oh and Nutmeg...

Hi Ivan,

Glad you and Alison had a chance to get away for a bit of couple time and general relaxation. Shelter looks great and sphagnum has many good uses. (I know what you mean by the way I thought it was a misjudged post at best).

Nice to see you getting a chance to chill and that wee dog of yours steals my heart when I see her (missing my mutt).

Best wishes to you both and to your Mum too.

GB.

Thanks for the kind comments guys, today was just what the doctor ordered, really chilled, well bloomin hot really!

Dave, the water is as clear as a bell! Whatever that means, i have drank straight from it for years. I stayed there for a week when i was 16, me and a mate ran away from home! took our mopeds right to the end, had a brilliant time, until we got homesick, turns out neither of us were missed that much!

I have decided, i want to come back as a dog, my dog infact, spoilt little so and so.

I wouldn't drink the water! It's well known that a local troll washes his feet in there!

Although to be fair, this Troll is the national Scottish spanking champion!

Looks like you had a great day for it and it looks like a beautiful spot. I have one question though, How did you train the dog to do the Rabbit impression. :)

Hi Robby, that lttle dog, is certainly a character, takes on different modes as the mood takes her, it is quite difficult to take a photo without her in it, it's a bit like wheres Wally?

My dear Bucephalus, if you remember, i very kindly showed you some of my more treasured spots, upon your last visit sir, and politley reminded you of airing some of your phtographs in public, especially that show me in a bad light, because as you well know as everyone on here knows i am a true proffesional, who takes this activity very seriously.

So if you would kindly, email any future pictures to me for approval, before publication, it would be appreciated, or you will be hearing from my legal team!

For the record Pic 1, i was merely removing something from my socks.

Pic 2, this was the well known game of bottom darts, whereby if you leave that bit of your buttocks exposed, you become an instant target, as you can see from the shot and crowd adulation, it was a perfect bullseye!

The target in the pic, can be forgiven as he does not actually own a bottom, it's just where his legs meet at the top! So he is regularly a good source of amusement.

Regards.

Ivan...

By the way, i have one or two embarassing shots of your good self, in archive.
