    Illegal tipping by criminal gangs

I am amazed they didn't prosecute the farmer - sort of thing they would do in this country - Like the guy who picked up all the litter in his street, put the bag out for the bin men and was fined for putting out non household waste!!

Amazon Prime - Have you quit?

I took out prime by accident once (I am sure it is designed to trick you) Cancelled immediately and now I just use their free offers etc as much as possible. It is quite amazing how often they offer you free prime for a month or a week. Just accept such offers then immediately go to your...

All poultry subject to compulsory registration

More time ticking boxes = Less time doing something useful! So nothing gets done - but at least we know who to blame if what doesn't get done, gets done wrong.

Knife - using one of those new fangled waterjet thingymajigs.

If you are buying your steel in strip form it might be easier to grind the profile by hand - Cut it rough with a disk and hog the rest with a coarse belt - If you are using sheet and/or doing loads, it makes sense to water jet. But I fully understand if you just want to play with your water...

    Fletching jig

I gave up archery and sold everything except a Decut Nexus Fletching Jig. It is not the highest quality bit of kit but it did the job well enough. Happy to send it to you for if you make a small donation to charity

UK Friendly EDC knife - my version

A very different take on a 3" folder. Looks a bit strange at first but the design does make sense. The extended liners mean there is a long unsharp section at the base of the blade, so safe if it should fold on your fingers and/or your front finger will help hold the blade open. Interested...

    Knife scales size

My 'bushcraft' knife - made to fit my average size hands measures 27.3mm wide and 31.2mm deep at the palm swell (which is towards the front of the handle). In front of the swell it drops to 20 W and 27 D and behind 19 W and 27 D. It is used for hard cutting tasks, I use something smaller or a...
