Early signs of a chilly winter

A decent winter is what's needed ... Means I get to stay off work and still be paid which is nice :) As for the elderly and vulnerable in the community, a small group of us form during significant weather events to go around making sure everyone is okay ... If they need anything we head out to...

    I did it :D

Here it is :) ... I dropped my tin of dust the other day, so started on my fat sticks instead

Look any good to spend a night or two in?

It's not far off a bridleway, with the local estuary as a water-source (I wouldn't drink from that though!) ... The area surrounding it is flood plains, but this itself is a safe area. The edge-line on top is safe, or as safe as it could be with no evidence of any slips or accidental fallings -...

    Whats your Bush Camera?

Canon EOS 1100D - It's a bit annoying as it takes up so much room, but well worth having in the bag

Look any good to spend a night or two in?

Come across this a few days back, It's been used at one point or another for it's resources ... I'm looking at the area with an interest to spend a night or two under a basha with a little camp set-up .... Any thoughts?

Very true squire! See what I can rustle up, be soaking wet from today's rain though!

Bear Grylls producer snake bite....../Gore warning !!

I once did an exotic animal training course, had to handle and care for Spiders (I went deathly pale when I saw what I had to hold!) Snakes and a host of other animals not from this country ... Interesting course, and loved the snake - Took two of us to hold him, it was massive! Can't remember...

    I did it :D

Haha ... If you would like photo's, then you shall have photo's ... Actually a video would be better, as I can't multi task! If it's not chucking it down with rain tomorrow, I may be more adventurous and attempt to do one in the garden ... That will be interesting :)

Bear Grylls producer snake bite....../Gore warning !!

Heavy set leather boots, with protection on sides/top and soles would be enough you'd think ... But it depends on the snake really. I could be completely wrong though!

    What have you learned recently?

I've learnt how to start a fire using Maya Dust and a striker (probably doesn't sound like anything to get excited about, but I am fairly chuffed) I've also learnt how to set-up and take down a stop and go fire whilst at the same time protecting the area around it from catching (thanks to Greg...

    Welcome :)

    I did it :D

My new knife arrived today, and in the process of waiting for the heavy rain to clear away I lost patience and decided to use the shed to try and get a fire started (Don't worry, I had a fire extinguisher ready!) using Maya Dust and a striker .... I did it :) If only I can perfect it the next...

Mac Operating system on a windows based computer ....

My old system was stable with SP2, upon installing the service pack 3 everything went pear shaped, leading to a fresh instal again. I'll look into the VM ... sounds like it could (could*) be what I am after :)
