I find the best seed supplier on ebay is premier seeds. Other than that seed parade are good and cheap for standard varieties. Chiltern seeds have some really interesting "different" seeds.
Egytian walking onions are different to Welsh onions.

I got them for the first time this year, started with 5, now I've got 31... Next year who knows.
Next year it'll be potato onions hopefully...

I'm going to try overwintering this year as i have never managed to be self sufficient in onions. I've got circa 300 red baron (too many going to seed and thus won't store) and sturon which are looking fine but under threat of rust which has jumped from the garlic to the Egyptian...
Poplar. I am lucky to have a number of unworked seasoned planks. They are easy to work and the "green" tinge that runs through them makes for very interesting pieces. Still can't find a use for the amount I have though.
I collect driftwood and tie 4ft long up to 35-40kg pieces to my rucksack to carry them off the beach. My rucksack is falling apart and I destroy them in a few trips. Is the Lowe alpine a strong enough sack for this kind of work or do I need to go down another route do you think?

And the Butternut squash are ripening properly. Its been a good year for them. Good job they keep well but the house is going to look like a veg store for the next few months. :-)
