Hi all

I've not been on here in ages due to my computer going bang and losing all my favourites!!

Anyhow, In between having knee replacements i've still been managing to call around the bootsales hunting for sharp and shiney stuff!!

I bought this Mammoth tooth to cut up for scales but then thought that if I destroyed it, It would be a great shame so I left it as is!

That is the Haul of the Century!

That German dagger, what is the handle mate4ial?

The handle is Aluminium I think!, It's marked as Herbertz, The sheath was given to me by a friend many years ago, I've seen identiocal ones housing the repro Hitler youth knives, Just happened thios Herbertz fitted nicely!!

I paid £8 or £9 for the knife around 15 or more years ago ;)

These knives were bought at different times and from different (but local) bootsales!

I bought these two as a pair for £70, He wouldn't drop a penny less!!

Yes, the HJ sheath is exactly as yours. Painted metal body, black leather details.

I wonder about the dagger, I have never seen a German one like that. Gerber made one and it was issued for some units worldwide.

John :)

That snake filework looks very familiar. Is it a Driftwoodwalker (Lance Ockenden)?

Myself, and my dogs would have several hours of fun picking through that lot. :)

I was told it looked like a knife that a chap called James Noble made, I was also told he'd been a bit naughty claiming that he'd made the blades for these knives but that they were actually imported from Pakistan!!

I have no idea in reality as I bought it second hand

The other is an Enzo with a carbon steel blade..

This one also came from the bootsale but I had to get rid when young nephews and neices started visiting, It was just too embarrassing, When I bought it I didn't even look at the subject matter on the pierced work, I sold it to Owne Bush over on BB when it was still up and running!

Ah, Noble, known as Tim and many other aliases, scourge of game fairs and deceiver of many. Most of his Pakistani blades are tinpot damascus, I’ve never seen one like yours before. Still, if it was a Driftwoodwalker I’d expect to see his logo on it, unless it’s a very early one.

I'm a bit of a collecter of Joseph Rodgers knives. I tend to stick with folders and thats a nice late model in the bunny knife style made either after they were bought out by wostenholm or Egginton Brothers

The fixed blade is an older model - since it includes the 'and sons' as well as the G (Crown) R

found this a little while back when trying to date JR knives

my guess from the blade stamp would be its from the George V era
