Not really bushcraft but,,,,,,,

Got this link from another site

For those of you who missed the BBC series "Survivors" back in the 70's, its out on DVD, all 3 seasons, and at a good price

I paid over double that last year :(

It is a little dated, but still well worth a watch, 90% of the population is killed off by plague and the series follows a small group of survivors

A great tv series that is just as good today as when it was first broadcast,I don't really think its dated either.

There is a lot of info on the three series at www.survivorstvseries.com a site by a guy called Andy Priestner (sp) he has spent many years on this and is well worth having a look at.

I met one of the cast from series three last year, and live in the area that series one was filmed, have even worked in some of the properties shown in the series...I'll get my coat sorry not coat...ANORAK

For me - Series 1 & 2 were definitive TV. The music STILL makes me shiver. Series 3 was a pup. Still well worth a watch though

Sorry LS, we posted on top of each other  Great series, all of them, although I go with Red, in that I thinks series 3 lost its path a little, it all seemed a little rushed, and I think could have made 2 series on its own

Guess what I'll be watching later on tonight :)

I would as well, but SWMBO is around so not tonight I guess...

I have to get my 3rd series back from the actress who was in one of the episodes, needs watching again even though it was way off Terry Nations initial vision.

I met the series Armourer when I was about twelve, got to check out all the firearms that were used plus a few others as well.

Memories, aren't they grand

You lucky bugger, which actor did you meet? When I first met the wife, and came down to Wales, I was stunned at how much her sister looked like Jenny Richards, very spooky; in fact, when my son watched the series for the first time last year, he said "bloody hell, she looks like aunty M"

For a teenager (my son) to enjoy the show, says something about how good it was, and is :)

Hi Rik,

It is the girl who is second from the right in this picture...

At the time her name was Julie Stotes though I have probably spelt it wrong:rolleyes: The episode was a little learning.

I thougt it was good, but that bloke with the Princess Di haircut (Mark?) drove me mad and spoiled it a bit for me. He seriously over-acted everything and was always really angry about something.

[edit - just checked, it was Greg :yuck: ]

They stay very clean for a post apocalyptic Britain!!

In fact, I know the reason for this, it was all to do with continuity. It was easier to have five jumpers clean then five jumpers all with the exact same mud splatters on them.
