Whole prawns.

I like prawns and shrimp though, I just can't be ar**d to disassemble my food.

On the other hand I will happily disassemble a rabbit, though 1 bunny will make a stew whilst 1 prawn will not....

Haha you lot are weird! Sprouts are brilliant!

Never tried tripe or jellied eels and I don't plan on it haha!!

I see KFC got an honourable mention, I used to eat it from time to time, as it was convenient (but well aware its horrid to chooks and not healthy), but in 2019 I decided that I'd go a year without it, so no motorway stops etc, I hit 2020 and then it became a case of "I've done a year, do I want to give that up for a poor quality bite" .. year turned into 2, here I am, KFC clean for 3 years 7 months :rofl:

Being a wartime baby, I learned to eat anything edible. Pickiness was not an option. Last month, however, I had an attack of gout and discovered that I can no longer eat many of the things I love which, strangely, figure on many of your dislike lists. I'm really going to miss shellfish, liver and red meat. I usually spend my summers in a village in France which is celebrated for its anchovies: these are also banned. Fortunately, our wine is not!

I was waitin' in Rosie's Restaurant

Artificial coloring in jellies and jam
Stay away from donuts run away from pie
Pepperoni pizza is a sure way to die.

Sugar rots your teeth and makes you put on weight
But artificial sweetener's got cyclamates
Eggs got cholesterol, there's fat in cheese
Coffee ruins your kidneys and so does tea.

Fish got mercury, red meat is poison
Salt's gonna send your blood pressure risin'
Hot dogs and bologna got deadly red dyes
Vegetables and fruits are sprayed with pesticides.

So I said what can I eat that's gonna make me last
He said a small drink of water in a sterilized glass
And then he stopped and he thought for a minute
And said never mind the water, there's carcinogenics in it.

So I got up from the table and walked out in the street
Realizin' there was nothin' I could eat
I ain't eaten for a month and I'm feeling fine
'Cause he did not mention beer, whiskey, women and sweet red wine...

Pork meat, not bacon or sausages or salami though, as it gives me painful stomach cramps that will leave me bent double rocking back and forth to cope with the pain!

Broccoli, cauliflower, parsnip, Brussel sprouts and a few similar vegetables. They occasionally have the undesirable effect of giving me trapped wind about 20 minutes after eating them such that my stomach blows up like a balloon! My middle doubles in size!

Nutella! OK I do eat that but I really shouldn't as I've had a few cases of allergic reaction that left my upper lip swell up so much it stuck out from my face more than my not exactly small nose! That's quite painful too. However I do like the taste of it such that I'll occasionally eat straight from the jar. After a reaction though I'll stop eating it for a few years.

Peanut butter, peanuts are nice both plain and roasted/salted but as peanut butter those peanuts are transformed into something so disgusting it makes me feel sick.

I'm an omnivore with a particular liking for fish and shellfish.
There are a few things that really make me wonder about my fellow humans:
Kale. What the hell is that?
Cauliflower. Ditto
Raw seafood. If it's bait, cook it first, thanks.

On the plus side, I've learned how to make very good seasoned chips from carrot, parsnip, yam and beet root. Trust me.

I spent a winter from time to time learning how to make several different cheese sauces. Alfredo, Rafaello, Mornay and 4-cheese. Nothing screws up a good feed more than a bad cheese sauce. The scratch sauces are not rocket science.

Real KFC is done in a pressure cooker. Worse, it's never cooked long enough. Turn your over on the medium. Spread the KFC on a sheet pan and bake for 30 minutes.
The drained oil will amaze you. So will the seasoned, crispy cooked chicken.

Never eaten tripe, don't want to either. KFC is horrible had it once that was enough. However the foodstuff I swerve at all costs is camembert I don't know what it tastes like like because it never gets close enough to taste, just the smell makes me heave. Just to be clear, I have no issues with stilton and the like so it's not all smelly cheese. Not mad keen on squidgy cheese full stop really. Apart from that we're good to go!

I also 2nd (or 4th?) cauliflower, I don't mind it, but it doesn't like me! Crippling gut ache! I can get away with saying it doesn't agree with me...

@Robson Valley Kale, sort of cabbage family, its pretty good, can cook it, or throw it into salads n stuff!

I'm not a big fan of certain types of fish particularly because of the bones. Although I love shell fish and mackerel and those of us who have a Welsh bent I love Laverbread and Cockles.

As a bartender people find it weird that I have an anaphylactic reaction to gin.
Juniper bush will bring me out in a rash from head to toe in seconds but gin just shuts me down entirely.
Epipen is an essential in my bar kit.
Weird huh?

I wonder how many of us who have food dislikes grew up 'having' to clear our plates, and generally plates that we had no choice in accepting.
I have distinct memories of time after time sitting at the table for hours after everyone else left until I finished. I still don't eat meat, or coconut.
I was a tiny child, but I'm a little fat lady these days and I still struggle to throw food away. I have to persuade myself that I'm feeding the compost so it's not wasted.

Fish they gave up on after I threw up every single time. I don't think they really believed it until my Uncle told them to stop trying to feed me fish, that I was clearly allergic and they were potentially going to kill me...he was a doctor, so they actually listened to him. I think they thought I was being deliberately wilful. Everyone else in the family loved fish.

Years ago I met another person who couldn't eat it. His family are all NE fishermen, and he was due to have his own boat, etc., Instead the family sent him to do a butcher's apprenticeship and set him up in a shop. Folks thought it a great laugh :sigh:
One of the reenactors couldn't touch fish either. Some numpty laid out a salmon on his plaid for a photo....did not go down well. Raised him up in wet itching weals across his legs. Meg scrabbled to find him anti-histamines in a hurry, and then flyted at the numpty who'd done the photo shots for being so damned thoughtless.

Mostly other folks seem to find other peoples food allergies, dislikes, etc., as a deliberate inconvenience and sometimes and affront to them.
